Charles FARR was convicted at Devon, England on 22 July 1837 for house breaking and stealing. Previous conviction. 14 yr transportation sentence given. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania), Australia per the ship 'Neptune' arriving there 19 Jan 1838. VDL: Assigned to work services. A couple of reports of misconduct. 1838-1842: at Swan Port 1844: at Swansea (east coast of Tasmania) 4 April 1844: Ticket of Leave granted. 31 Oct 1846: Conditional Pardon approved.
