Convict Notes
Felix Smith was convicted, along with his wife, Martha, and David Yule for the crime of assault to the danger of life on an officer in the execution of his duty. He was tried in April 1847. Felix arrived as and 'Exile' and so must have spent time in prison before choosing to be transported. 1849: TOL Bathurst. Tried to find a death date, but there were several Felix Smith's around at that time. There was an aboriginal boy named Felix Smith, one who died at Parkes in 1894 who was 73 and a miner, and a younger one in Victoria.
