On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. Norfolk Chronicle Norfolk, England 11 Apr 1829 NORFOLK LENT ASSIZES John Brown aged 17, & Thomas Dyball pleaded guilty to, and John Felmingham, aged 21, was charged with having feloniously broken into the dwelling-house of Thomas Willis, of Acle, shopkeeper, and stolen twenty yards of cotton cord, twelve pair of worstead stockings, and other articles, his property on the 21st of February last, & Thomas Benstead was charged with having received the same, knowing it to have been stolen.___Benstead was acquitted, and Felmingham found guilty, and judgment of Death recordeed against him. ________ Thomas Dyball arrived NSW Per Sarah 1829. No ship found for John Brown. John Felmingham was listed as 22 years old on arrival. Place of Birth: Eccles, Norfolk. Occupations: Bricklayer/stone mason & Plaisterer. John received a full pardon in 1854 and moved to Brushy Plains near the toenship of Buckland.He built the Travellor's Rest Hotel, later named the Buckland Inn.
