Michael married Catherine McMahon 4/5/1846 in Goulburn,and they went to Cobargo shortly after their wedding. After their son Patrick was born,they returned to Reidsdale where Michael had, prior to his ticket of leave, been a convict assigned to Major Elrington. He worked mining gold at Bells creek, then bought a farm at Reidsdale in 1856, built a house which still stands and raised 13 children. Michael died 3/2/1882. Catherine died in Reidsdale, 22/3/1914.

Michael was listed as "Feney" on incoming records and also on the NSW Gov. Convicts database. Michael was 25 years old on arrival, single and his native place was Roscommon. 1844: TOL Broulee 10/4/1845: TOL Passport - on recommendation of the Broulee Bench.

Transported on the "Heber" 1837 from Cork Convicted for "Outrageous Conduct".
