The Scots Magazine Midlothian, Scotland 1 Oct 1819: BRITISH CHRONICLE William Barton, George Ferguson, John Wilson, and William Young, stealing leaden pipes—seven years' transportation. George Ferguson was 17 years old on arrival in VDL. Native Place: Glasgow. George was 5'3½" tall, (5'9½" om 1826) brown hair, grey eyes, 20/9/1826: COF 8/7/1844: Married Agnes McCormack (Garland Grove 1841) at Hobart. Children: 1844: Agnes - died 18/4/1848 of Disease of the spine - Baker's child. 14/10/1845: Janet 11/4/1847: Sarah 4/9/1848: George 9/2/1850: Agnes Ann 12/3/1850: Agnes Ferguson, aged 30, died at Hobart, of Delirium tremens. 2/6/1868: George Ferguson died at Goulburn Street, Hobart, born Scotland, aged 66 years, of Disease of the Heart.
