1840, December: He was committed for trial for burglary. 1841, 18 January: Found not guilty of the charge of burglary. 1844, 10 May: He was granted a Ticket of Leave (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-14$init=CON31-1-14p68).


1832: On arrival in VDL, he was listed as 16, single and a "boy" (no trade; carter's boy was selected above because "boy" was not available). He said he had been transported for shop breaking, and that he had a previous conviction for stealing (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-14$init=CON31-1-14p68).
