Finn, Joseph, and Ann Bennett, charged on suspicion of having, with other persons, knowingly, wilfully, and feloniously sent two letters, demanding money of George Gregory, Esq. under a threat of murdering him, at Willesborough—Finn, Guilty,  but not sentenced — Bennett, discharged by proclamation.  Maidstone Journal, 8 Aug 1826. Yesterday the undermentioned convicts were removed from the Kent County Gaol at Maidstone, to the Retribution hulk at Sheerness : viz.— William Jeffreys, Geo Kilney, Henry Clarke, and Joseph Finn  transported for life.— Maidstone Journal, 29 Aug 1826.
