Johanna FITZGERALD, and her sister Margaret, were convicted at Kerry on 20 March 1849 for stealing six sheep. Both received 7yr transportation sentences. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Australasia' arriving 29 Sept 1849. Aged 22yrs; single woman; country servant; 4'8 3/4"; Roman Catholic. Native place - Co. Kerry No remarks on her Convict Conduct Record. 27 Feb 1850 - died in hospital, Hobart.
