Absconded from the Escort at Halls Creek 11th May while being conveyed from Cassilis to Newcastle gaol to take his trial for larceny of the property of James Canning Pearse. Free by servitude, stone cutter and painter; age 32; 5'5"; ruddy pockpitted compl., brown hair, grey eyes. 169084 Fitzpatrick Charles - Bussorah Merchant 1831. 15 December 1841 Newcastle Gaol State Archives NSW. Gaol Entrance Books, 1818-1930; Item: 2/2020; Roll: 757. Admitted to Newcastle gaol from Cassilis district for having escaped from custody when under committal for trial. To be sent for trial.
