Daniel Fitzpatrick was listed as 26 years old on arrival. Native Place: Wicklow. Occupation: Carman/labourer/ploughman/sower. Daniel was illiterate, RC, Married with 1 male child, 5'7½" tall, brown complexion, brown hair, light blue to grey eyes, arms hairy. Married to Margaret Kelly, they went on to have 9 other children in NSW. Apr. 1832: Assigned to J. W. Lowe, Sidmouth Valley. From Ancestry: Mrs. Fitzpatrick and 2 children, arrived Port Jackson, NSW., per 'Gulnare' on 19/11/1834. Gulnare departed Liverpool via Hobart Town then to NSW. Among the earliest permanent settlers in the Oberon district were Daniel and Margaret Fitzpatrick, who settled at Slippery Creek, now called Hazelgrove, by 1835 at least, as their second child Catherine was born at there in that year. His wife Margaret and son John followed two years after Daniel was transported. Presumably he was assigned to her. 29/6/1838: TOL Bathurst. 7/3/1859: Daniel Fitzpatrick died, aged 53, and was buried on the 9/3/1859 at St Dominic's Church, at Hazelgrove. Daniel Fitzpatrick donated the land for the church. Wife, Margaret died 25/9/1886.
