The report from the trial of William Holahan, William and James Fitzpatrick is published in the Dublin Evening Post, 9 Oct 1821. … His Lordship ... then adjudged them to transported for seven years. Holahan remained silent. James Fitzpatrick bowed, and mildly said, “I thank you Lord.” But William Fitzpatrick loudly “Our Agent (Mr. P. Delany) has betrayed us - our Counsel has done nothing, for the Jury (which was truly respectable) are all bribed.”
