Significant because it was the first ship to bring all female women to the Colony.

Family connections for Mary (Flannagan) are: FLANNAGAN Mary (Flannegan) was born about 1765. She was tried for breaking entering & stealing, on 31 3 1788, hats etc of Saul (Lyons) at Old Bailey on 2 4 1788, sentenced to 7years, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 3 6 1790 after a voyage of 12months on Fleet ship LADY JULIANA-a ship with 228females who easily entertained the whole crew & also sailors at Teneriffe stopover. She arrived on Norfolk Island, perhaps on MARY ANNE on 23 4 1792 (also recorded as arriving on 7 8 1791, same date as John (Owen)). She had a first relationship with John (Owen) & produced a child.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] John (Owen) was born on 17 1 1769. He was tried for 'hamesucken/assault'-ie.breaking in & assaulting-w/1other stealing cutlery etc of Henry (Creed) at Middlesex Gaol Delivery, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 27 1 1788 after a voyage of 12months on First Fleet ship SCARBOROUGH. On 13 9 1788 he was charged with aiding & abetting in attempted rape of Lydia (Munro PRINCE OF WALES 1788), sentenced to 50lashes remitted by forgiveness. He was found absent from camp at Rose Hill on 16 1 1789 & sentenced w/others to 100lashes. He is recorded as arriving on Norfolk Island on 7 8 1791 (same date as Mary (Flanagan)) & leaving on 5 3 1795. On 3 11 1794 he was granted 30acres at Mulgrave Place Hawkesbury. He was recorded in 1801 as an emancipist in Sydney. In 1806 he was recorded as a boatman & in 1814 as a seaman on JOHN PALMER. A John (Owen) is recorded as off stores in Hobart Town on 2 10 1818. He died on 2 11 1828 age59 father of perhaps 4children. Noted a John (Owen SCARBOROUGH 1788) is recorded as labourer ex-NSW Corps dying on 3 11 1826 age50 at Sydney Benevolent Asylum & buried at St James CofE Sydney. She is recorded as leaving Norfolk Island on 30 3 1793. She died on 6 11 1795 age30 mother of 4children on Norfolk Island. William (Atkins) was born about 1756. He was tried at Northampton Liberty of Peterborough Assizes, sentenced to 14years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 26 6 1790 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship NEPTUNE; a voyage noted for extreme brutality of prisoners with a high death rate. He arrived on Norfolk Island, perhaps on SALAMANDER, on 11 11 1791. He started a second relationship with Mary (Allen/Proctor/Port) her fourth (4of6) relationship) before 1794-during her relationship with John (Martin). He is recorded as a constable settler Free by Servitude on stores on Norfolk Island in February 1805. He was noted as a masonic brethren in 1807. He was still a constable when he left Norfolk Island as part of the first evacuation (for which volunteers apparantly had been called with appropriate compensation offerred & for which he may have tried to decline as some successful farmers were asked to stay) with 3children on 15 5 1808 on ESTRAMINA to Derwent Tasmania, arriving on 5 6 1808; he had the Governors recommendation for a land grant. Accused of housebreaking (feloniously breaking and entering the dwelling-house of Saul Lyons , about the hour of five in the afternoon, on the 31st of March, no person being therein, and stealing three men's hats, value 9 s. his property).
