Lancaster Assizes. John Forbes, for a burglary in the house of James Duke, at Manchester; also, tor a similar offence in the same place. Lancashire Gazette, 23 Mar 1816. Lancashire Assizes. The Judge passed...sentence of Death upon the prisoners capitally convicted, as follows: …John Forbes (26) for burglaries.;… The Judge was pleased to reprieve the whole of those prisoners condemned, with the exception of Michael Henshaw, for maliciously shooting, and John Jones, for forgery.
