Lancaster Assizes. John Forbes, for a burglary in the house of James Duke, at Manchester; also, tor a similar offence in the same place. Lancashire Gazette, 23 Mar 1816. Lancashire Assizes. The Judge passed...sentence of Death upon the prisoners capitally convicted, as follows: …John Forbes (26) for burglaries.;… The Judge was pleased to reprieve the whole of those prisoners condemned, with the exception of Michael Henshaw, for maliciously shooting, and John Jones, for forgery. Lancashire Gazette, 13 April 1816.
