An inquest was held at the House of Correction, Launceston, on the 31st ultimo, upon the body of John Ford, per Barossa 2, F.S. Verdict--Died from natural causes. Tasmania Police Gazette, 3rd Nov 1871, p177.

Age incorrect on convict record. Born West Pennard, Somerset to William and Ann Ford Married to Elizabeth Sheat 1831 - children William b 1834, George b1835, Thomas b 1841 and Job ( my 2 x great grandfather) b1843.
