Thomas Fortune was listed as 18 years old on arrival. (Listed as born 1827 on entry to VDL) Native Place: Wexford. Thomas was 5'3" tall, fair complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, pockpitted, mole on left arm, little blue mark and 3 small scars on back of right hand, literate, single, RC, a labourer. Father: John Brothers: David, Patrick, Christy. Sister: Jane --- at native place. 1849: Employed by Matthew Fitzpatrick. 22/10/1850: TOL 18/1/1853: CP 15/6/1853: Steerage Passenger, Launceston to Melbourne, per 'Clarence' -- free by servitude.
