Imprisoned in Hastings Gaol pending Assizes- Charged with passing a forged letter of acceptance for £90. 26-Jul-1834; found guilty & sentenced to transportation for live.(see 'The Times 1-Aug) Jul-Sep 1834: Onboard prison hulk 'Hardy' in Portsmouth Harbour. 1835: Attended convict musters at both Launceston and Norfolk Plains. 1841/3: Attended convict musters at Westbury. 1843: Ticket-of-Leave granted- (see Launceston Examiner 14-Feb) 1847: Conditional Pardon- (see- Launceston Examiner 25-Sep) 12-Jun-1852 Prob departs for Melbourne as 'free English gold seeker' aboard the 'Swordfish'
