NSW 1828 census, at Bathurst. Residence not clear. Samuel Fowler, age 29, M. Wellington, 1815, brickmaker, protestant. Elizabeth Tympson or Fowler, 42, F.S.,Lord Sidmouth, 1822, 7 yrs, wife.




Samuel Fowler was 12 years old when convicted. Forwarded to Parramatta on arrival. 1823: TOL Bathurst 1832: TOL Bathurst 9/10/1837: CP 20/11/1837: CP 10/11/1826: Permission to marry Elizabeth Simpson per ‘Lord Sidmouth’ she was 37 and he 25 – Married at Kelso, NSW 1826. No children listed. Samuel was listed as a 'brickmaker' at Bathurst.




Samuel Fowler was put on trial on 16th February 1814 at The Old Bailey for burglary. He stole a knife valued at 3d. Samuel was 12 at the time and was sentenced to death, with a recommendation of mercy due to his age.
