John Fox was Convicted at the Omagh Assizs, County Tyrone in August 1817 for burglary at the house of john McEldone. Was transported for life on “Minerva” after his sentence of death was commuted.

Personal particulars: Aged 28 year on voyage. Born at Kildress, Co Tyrone. Labourer. 5ft 6&1/2 inches tall. Dark pale complexion, black hair, blue eyes.

Minerva arrived at Sydney on 18 April 1818 and then went on to Tasmania with its convicts.
