Frances Donovan was transported on the Arabian, departing 22nd Nov 1846 and arriving 25th Feb 1847 with 152 passengers.
391 ton Barque. Built Liverpool. The Barque Arabian, under the command of Captain Robertson, left Kingstown, Dublin, 22 November, 1846, with 150 female convicts and 37 children on board. One woman and 7 children died on the voyage. At least 2 children were born during the voyage. The Surgeon Superintendent was Dr Wylie, R.N. and the Matron, Mrs Evans. The Arabian arrived at Hobart Town, February 25 1847.

Frances Donovan and Margaret Mahony pleaded guilty of stealing some articles of wearing apparel, and were sentenced seven years transportation. Southern Reporter and Cork Commercial Courier, 30 Oct 1845.

Frances Donovan was convicted at Cork on 27/09/1845 for stealing wearing apparel. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land on the 'Arabian', arriving 25/02/1847.
