Convict Notes
Francis Rupee, Joseph Watkins, William Stephens, and James Newman, the latter only 14 years of age, for breaking into and robbing a house.
Francis Roupee was on the "List of Runaways Apprehended during the last week" - NSW Government Gazette, 20 March 1839, Issue No.400, Page 341. Received Conditional Pardon in NSW Government Gazette, 9 August 1853, Issue No.88, Page 1334. He is one of the Prisoners having absconded in NSW Government Gazette, 20 February 1839, Issue No.392, Page 242 - aged 35, Shropshire, farm servant, 5 feet 4 3/4 inches, dark sallow and pockpitted comp., brown hair, blue eyes, small raised mole left side of neck, lost half the little finger of right hand, from John Nicholson, Sydney, since February 16.
