Listed as Francis Holmes. Francis was 32 years old on arrival. Native Place: Nottingham. Francis was literate, protestant, married with 3 female children, 5'6¼" tall, dark sallow complexion, brown hair and eyes, left upper eyelid heavy, eyebrows partially meeting, lost nearly all the front upper teeth, woman, sun and bird on lower right arm, long scar inside forefinger of right hand, God be merciful to me a sinner on upper left arm, woman, and some illegible letters inside small of right leg. 1846: TOL Patrick Plains. 5/1/1853: CP 20/12/1848: Charged Thomas Cutts under the Masters & Servants Act, at Maitland. Nov 1854: Was living on the William River, in High street, and was robbed of £47 and two watches.
