Francis JARVIS was convicted at Middlesex, London on 17 Feb 1825 for stealing - 40/-shillings money from a dwelling house. Previous offences, had served 18mths at Newgate & 4 yrs at Woolwich. Life sentence. Wife also charged with receiving money. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Medway' arriving 1825. Wife is believed to be Mary Ann Jarvis transported on the 'Henry' https://convictrecords.com.au/convicts/jarvis/mary-ann/75551 VDL: Clear conduct record. Passholder status. Death: Feb 1826 - Francis JARVIS died, at Hobart Town. Convict, 'Medway'. ref. 34/1/1 no. 1149.
