Family connections for Phoebe (Francis) are: FRANCIS Phoebe/Febe (Francis) was born about 1754. She married firstly John (Penlarick) about1775 at Plymouth Devonshire. She was convicted at Devon Assizes Exeter, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 5months on Fleet ship MARY ANN/E. She, as Phebe (Francis/Pendonick), married secondly Benjamin (Cusley) on 31 3 1795 at St Johns CofE Parramatta & produced 9children. She was Free by Servitude by 1797. She died on 18 11 1815 age61 as (Cusley nee Pentassick) mother of 2children & was buried at St Matthews CofE Windsor. [Some details taken from this Website] Benjamin (Cusley) was born about 1757. He arrived in Australia as a marine on FRIENDSHIP. He married Phebe (Francis/Pendonick her second marrige) on 31 3 1795 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. Phebe (Francis/Penlarick) & Benjamin (Cusley) produced 2children: 1.Ann (Cusley) was born on 29 9 1792 & baptised on 8 12 1792 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She married at age15 George (McGinnis) on 11 5 1807 at St Johns CofE Parramatta & produced more than 8children; they then lived on a lease of 21acres at Wilberforce?. She died on 11 10 1822 age30. ..George (McGinnis/McGuiness) was born in 1780or97. He was convicted at Meath Ireland, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 27 5 1797 after a voyage of 5months on BRITANNIA. He had his Ticket of Leave by 1806. He was recorded in 1824 at Wilberforce. Phoebe married Benjamin Cusley (Marine, Friendship, 1788). They married 31 March 1795. With permission of Captain William Patterson and the ceremony was carried out by Samuel Marsden. (Her name is here given as Febe Pendonick! She had married John Penlarick in Plymouth, Devon 20 years before.) Phoebe and Benjamin had two daughters, Ann and Maria.
