Family connections for Thomas (Francis) are: Some amendments added Jul 2025. FRANCIS Thomas (Francis) was born about 1770. He was tried w/1other for receiving bills of exchange of Cornelius (Tongue) at Warwick Assizes on 8 8 1789, sentenced to 14years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet Ship ADMIRAL BARRINGTON. He was Free by Servitude by 1797 & had a relationship with Honora/Norah (Collins) whom he married on 3 7 1801 (same day as baptism of 3of their children) at St Johns Cathedral Parramatta. He obtained land grants & produced crops for sale to government. On 8 6 1814 he reported that his wife had absented herself & he was not responsible for debts. He died on 3 9 1820 age50/6 at Castlereagh & was buried at Christ Church Castlereagh. [Some details taken from this Website] Honora/Norah (Collins) was born about 1770. She was tried at Kerry Ireland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 11 9 1796 after a voyage of 6months on MARQUIS CORNWALLIS; he was Protestant. She apparantly left her husband about June 1814. She is recorded in 1828 as Free by Servitude housekeeper at Evan. She died on 5 9 1838 age67 at Castlereagh. She is recorded in 1828 with her family at Evan. She died on 23 6 1887 age90-. ..James (Butler alias of James (Morson) son of William (Morson) & Phoebe (Frain/Frane) was born about 1790 in Middlesex. He was tried w/1other for stealing, on 15 12 1806, money of Isaac (Scott) was tried at Old Bailey on 14 1 1807, sentenced to death reprieved to Life, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & hulk at Portsmouth from 4 4 1807 & arrived in NSW as a convict on 20 12 1808 after a voyage of 5months on ADMIRAL GAMBIER. He worked on Mountain Road & rented a farm at Evan. He used the name James (Mostyn) in 1816. He was Free by Servitude by 1817. He may have had a first relationship with an Ann (???). On 17 5 1820 he requested grant of land & was granted 50acres at Kurrajong near Meroo co.Cook on 31 3 1821. He is recorded in 1828 with his family as farmer on 24acres at Evan. He was recorded as James (Mostyn) a farmer in 1833 & 1834. He died on 29 5 1880 age89 at Kurrajong father of perhaps 13children & was buried at St Stephens cemetery Kurrajong. He was tried for burglary at Cavan Ireland, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 30 12 1818 after a voyage of 4.5months on MARTHA; he was Catholic. He was Free by Servitude by 1822. The notice in the Hereford Journal that reported on Thomas' conviction in August 1789 lists his age at 19. Therefore his birth year was either 1769 or 1770. The original birth year seems to be deduced from the headstone on a grave of Thomas Francis that says his age was 56.

Thomas Francis convicted at Warwick August 9 1789. Term 14 years. Details of offence come from the local newspaper of the time. The Birmingham Arts Gazette, dated 17 August 1789. "On Wednesday, the assizes for this county ended at Warwick. Elizabeth Weston (aged 17) Janet Toome (aged 15) for stealing Bills of Exchange from Cornelius Tongue. Thomas Francis and John Heathcote (both 19) for receiving said Bills knowing them to be stolen.. all transported. Francis and Heathcote 14 years and the rest for 7 years." Thomas Francis arrived in the colony on board the ship Admiral Barrington on 16 October 1791.

Thomas married Honora ( Norah) Collins 3 July 1801 in the Cathedral of St John Parramatta. Samuel Marsden performed the ceremony the witnesses were : Michael Collins and Mary Ward. Taken from church records.

Thomas Collins was transported on the Admiral Barrington. He was tried on 8/8/1789 but crime not listed. 3/7/1801: Married Honora Collins (C1770, County Kerry and transported on the "Marquis Cornwallis 1796, and died 5/9/1837 aged 67 at Castlereagh). They had 6 children, 3 of whom were baptised on their parents wedding day, at St. John's, Parramatta. 18/6/1814: Thomas advertised that Honora absented herself "without cause or provocation" and that he would not be responsible for her debts. Thomas received land grants from the Government and grew crops etc., which he sold back to the Government. 6/9/1820: Thomas died aged 56 at Castlereagh.
