1831, 14 April: He was received aboard the Justitia at Woolwich, listed as 19, and convicted for sheep stealing. [Note: His father William Fuller, 51, had also been found guilty of stealing sheep but had been sentenced to 18 months' hard labour.] 1832: On arrival in VDL, he was listed as 21, single and a ploughman. His gaol report stated he was a bad character and had been flogged. He said he had been flogged in jail for tearing his blanket. 1837: James Fuller received a Ticket of Leave (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-14$init=CON31-1-14p57).
