Berrima Circuit Court, Wednesday Sept 3. James Gallaghan and William Brooks were indicted for stealing sundry articles of wearing apparel from the house of John Cooney, at Yass River, on the 8th April. Both the prisoners were found guilty of a larceny and remanded, the Attorney General stating that he had some other charges against them. Morning Chronicle, 10 Sept 1845. -------------------------------------------------- 19 and 20. James Gollicher, freed, and William Brooks, freed, committed May 12, for robbing in a dwelling-house; transportation for seven years. Sydney Morning Herald, 12 Sept 1845.

James had a Colonial sentence , tried at Berrima in 1845, and sentenced to 7 years transportation to Port Arthur. HE was sent from Sydney to Port Arthur per Wanderer.
