3/1/1840 Leicester Journal Leicestershire, England:
LEICESTERSHIRE QUARTER SESSIONS
William Gamble, 17, was charged with killing an ewe sheep on the 21st of December, the property of Richard Rowe, of Rothley.  Guilty.__The prisoner was also indicted for stealing half a dozen silver spoons, two silk handkerchiefs, and about £3 4s. 6d. the property of John Dent, of Rothley, on the 22nd of December.__15 years transportation.

William Gamble was born in Leicester town.

24/10/1848: TOL
12/8/1850: CP

5/4/1853: Passenger per ‘Vixen’ Launceston to Melbourne. Free by Servitude.

20/2/1854: Married Mary Roberts at Great Swanport, Tasmania.
William a farmservant, Mary a minor.
(Mary Ann Gamble died 23/12/1875 aged 42 at Glamorgan.
