George Gammon was listed as 20 years old on arrival. Native Place: Bristol. George was literate, protestant, single, 5'5½" tall, sallow complexion, brown hair and eyes, small scar over right eyebrow, scar on crown of head, small burnt mark back of right hand, similar mark and ship back of lower left arm, anchor back of left hand. Mar. 1840: To Norfolk Island - Departed 18/5/1844. 6/6/1844: Arrived VDL per 'Lady Franklin'. George was then described as : A laborer, 5'6½" tall, 25 years old, sallow complexion, dark brown hair, black whiskers, brown eyes. 4/8/1846: TOL 11/12/1849: CP 16/10/1850: Passenger per 'Shamrock' Launceston to Melbourne. Had a CP 5/7/1855 Launceston Examiner, Tasmania: Was listed as George Gammon Bailey - a Juror at the Supreme Court.__Criminal Sittings on 5/7/1855. 1857: There was also a George Gammon in Beechworth, Victoria at this time, he was a Chemist and Druggist.
