1845 - Joseph was buried in the Grounds of the Prisoners Barracks in Hobart Town on the 28 June 1845.

Joseph was transported for stealing trousers. He was tried on the 5th of June 1845 for inflicting a mortal wound one inch broad and tree inches deep on William Mead at Port Arthur. The papers say his name was John but the archives say William. Causing almost instantaneously death. He pleaded guilty to stabbing but not meaning to take life. He was found guilty and sentenced to be hung and dissected. He was executed on 24\6\1845.
