Mary is recorded in the 1825 Census: Bolton, Mary, free by servitude, Friends, 1811, 7 years, wife of Edward Gardner, Liverpool. However, Mary died in 1825 and is therefore not recorded in the 1828 Census. Edward and his small family is: Page 159.... [Ref G0170] Gardner, Edward, 38, convict, M. Wellington, Protestant, overseer to Mr Willford, Bringelly. [Ref G0171] Gardner, Henry, 10, born in the colony. [Ref G0172] Gardner, Lucy, 3, born in the colony. In the colony, around 1816, Edward married Mary Bolton (Convict, 1811, “Admiral Gambier and Friends”). The couple had three children, Henry 1818, Louisa 1820 and Edward 1822.
