Magazines; listed as Garthney (Reel 6016; 4/5781 p.67) 1822 Aug 22 Re remission of sentence; as Garthling (Reel 6009; 4/3506 p.196) --------------------------------------------------- Warrant for the Landing of four convicts from India per Brig Guide. Secretary’s Office, 13 Nov 1818. To the Chief Constable. Sir, On receipt hereof you are to proceed on board the Brig Guide of Calcutta, Higgins Master, and receive charge from the said Master, of four convicts sent hither on said vessel by the Govt of Bengal. - Namely, William Toole, James Garthelny, Thomas Williams otherwise Ceesar and Samuel Lickler or Michl.
