Samuel Gaskin was 48 years old on arrival in VDL and was transported for 'Stealing two sheep'. Samuel was 5' 10 1/2" tall, could read and write, sallow complexion, brown to grey hair and whiskers, hazel eyes, scar above elbow left arm, been bled both arms, mark of a cut on forehead. Married: Wife Ann and 9 children at his native place of Antrim County. Brothers: John, James, William Sisters: Molly, Betty. 3/3/1843: Samuel died at H.M. Colonial Hospital, New Norfolk, Tasmania.
