Catherine was convicted of arson of an outhouse. On the same day at Limerick Mary Valence was convicted of arson of a haystack. She was convicted on Jan 1 1850 and taken to Grangegorman on March 4. Catherine was single, dark hair and sallow complexion. She was five foot three, not able to read or write and had no previous convictions.
