On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. Convict Notes
The following females were removed from our county prison to Woolwich, and placed on board the Ship Mary, bound to New South Wales, viz. Sarah Winterbottom, Sarah Phillips, Dorothy Phillips, Ann Gee, Hannah Burton, & Margaret Bourne, under sentence of transportation for 7 years each. Staffordshire Advertiser, 17 May 1823.
James Bloor and Elijah Broad, both aged 18, were indicted for stealing; and Ann Gee and Hannah Burton, also aged 18, charged with knowingly receiving several pieces tammy, the property of Jonathan Adams, Burslem. It appeared that ... Staffordshire Advertiser, 18 Jan 1823.
