Convict Notes

Central Criminal Court, Tuesday. Daniel Gee, aged 31, was found guilty of stealing a decanter, the property of a person of the name of Robertson, and also with having formerly been convicted of felony.n Mr. Sergeant Arabin— Prisoner, you have been tried and couvicted before of felony, when the Court was of opinion by punishing you with a short imprisonment, coupled with flogging, that it would act as a caution on your future conduct. In that opinion the Court was mistaken; you will, therefore, for this for this offence be transported for fourteen years. Morning Post 4 Feb 1835.
