George Buss was 47 years old when indicted for stealing from a shop. 1844: TOL 9/2/1846: COF November 1850: An inquest was held on the body of George Buss, late of Goulburn, aged 60. He had been a heavy drinker, entered a public house and drank some more and went into a frozen in one position state for the next 24 hours, then expired. The jury found death was caused by pressure on the brain caused by intemperence. George was apparently a pauper, receiving assistance from the Liverpool Benevolent Asylum.
