East Sussex Adjourned Easter Sessions. George Jones, labourer, aged 20, and John Richardson, wax doll maker, 20, were indicted for stealing, at Brighton, on the May .120 whips, value 10s., the property of Henry Davis. Brighton Gazette, 22 May 1845 George Jones, and George Richardson, 20, wax-doll-maker, for stealing, on the 2nd May inst., at Brighton, 120 whips, value 10s., the properly of Henry Dawes. A former conviction of felony was proved against Jones, and he was sentenced to ten years’ transportation; and Richardson to four months’ hard labour, ... South Eastern Gazette, 27 May 1845.
