Exact birth date unknown. Baptism 30 Dec 1810 in Semley, Wiltshire, England. Married to Harriet Toogood on 23 Aug 1827. She was the sister of Charles Toogood, the other man convicted of Sheep Stealing and transported with him on the Gilmour.Travelled from Launceston to Melbourne on the ship 'Shamrock' on 19 Feb 1851, pronounced 'free by servitude'.
