George Priestley and Maryann Hills is also my husbands gg Grandparents and Maryann came to Seymour Victoria with her son George in about 1868....he married Caroline Knapsey in 1871...
George priestly and Maryann Hills had a child born 25/4 /1845 The child my gg grandmother Sarah Priestly. They lived in upton st Launceston . l have wondered why on her birth registration father name George , occupation gardener , but on her wedding certificate and death record lists her fathers name as Samuel . Samuel was his Given name . I dont know if George and Maryann ever married . l have discovered he was married with 2 children in Britain before being transported . Dont know what happened to him , Maryann Married then to John Humphreys. Her first marriage to James Smith
