Edward left a sum of forty pounds to his wife Mary Elizabeth (nee Grosvenor) upon his death. He married Mary on 30th June, 1864.Edward is my great, great, great grandfather.His son George Edward Gibbons(Gibbins!!) was the father of my great grandfather George John Augustine Gibbons who was a returned World War One veteran. His son George James Gibbons was my grandfather. I am currently attempting to transcribe Edwards Last Will and Testament.




Edward Gibbons was 25 years old on arrival in VDL. His occupation was a "Butcher/Ploughman", and his native place was Culloden. Edward was 5'3" tall, dark complexion, dark brown eyes, black hair, and he was single. 1835: Assigned to Mr Ashbourner. 7/4/1840: TOL 24/9/1841: COF
