George Gibbons ALIAS William Sheridan. 1839: TOL Queanbeyan 3/12/1841: COF 8/4/1867: William Sheridan 3 months imprisonment for stealing clothes from Cohen Bros., value 35s. After receiving his COF George/William is difficult to track as he is no longer designated by his ship.
From newspaper records on Friday 5th July, 1833 - East Riding Sessions - William Sheridan alias Gibbons, aged 19, Charles Spouncer aged 20 (He arrived per Recovery in 1835 after a trial in April of 35, so this was another crime) and Henry "Leaike" were charged with stealing a cheese from a person.
