23/3/1835 Northern Whig Antrim, Northern Ireland: James Gilkinson, for feloniously killing, with intent to steal, a sheep, at Craigfad, on the 13th July last, the property of Charles O'Rawe. Not Guilty, as the only witness was an approver, and his evidence was not corroborated. Same James Gilkinson, and Thomas Stewart, the approver in the former case, for stealing a filly, at Tullykittagh, near Clough, on the 14th Ausust last, the property of Duncan Dodds. Gilkinson, Guilty; Stewart, Not Guilty; Gilkinson, transportation for life. Note from Moderator: Have changed James's name to Gilkinson as this is the name he is recorded under on the Irish Convicts database and also on www.records.nsw.gov.au and put Gilkison in the alias box.
