You can read details of this man's trial in the Glasgow Herald May 6th 1844 page 2. Glass was tried with William McIver both were transported on the William Jardine. Basically, the men broke into the house of the Right Rev John Murdock priest and took two cloaks, a great coat and 6 top coats (the clothes belonged to a number of priests). Others charged with the men were dismissed from the bar.
