Private in Argyleshire Militia. Trial Friday 13 July 1804 at Edinburgh High Court for murder on 9 May 1804 of William Shaw (same militia)at Advocates Close, Edinburgh by stabbing him with a bayonet. Convicted culpable homicide - 14 years transportation.
