Belgravia was a three-masted ship of 889 tons registered in London. She was an oak ‘late frigate’ hull type. Her dimensions were length: 169 ft.; breadth 34.5 ft.; depth 21.2 ft.; draught 16 ft. In 1863 she underwent some repairs and was copper fastened and sheathed in yellow metal. She was surveyed in June 1863 and December 1864.

David was 30 years old when tried on 3/12/1864. David was 5'3" tall, black hair, dark hazel eyes, long face, sallow complexion, middling stout, scar on neck, literate, Jewish, married - no children. 7/6/1868: David died In Albany Road, from an epileptic fit. (not listed on the WA BDM, although his death date is listed on the Fremantle Prison Database.)




I believe david goldstone may be a relative of my grandfather who was Christopher goldstone on my mothers side. The dates are about right. I know my grandfather had a relative who was deported to Australia about this time.
