Darby Goode from Somerset in the parish of Clontuskert about 3 miles from Ballinalsoe, County Galway in Ireland, was a tenant farmer on the Seymour Estate. He is mentioned on page 134 in a book in a section on land ownership in the 1600's. During an attack by the impoverished tenants on Somerset House, it states that Darby Goode escaped to England but must have been captured as both he and Hugh Larkin were on the same ship (Parmelia)to New South Wales Australia. Hugh Larkin was sentenced to life and Darby Goode 7 years. Goode's still reside in Ballinasloe, County Galway, Ireland.
