She was tried for stealing breeches & money of Thomas (Ford) at Trolsel Dublin city Ireland in April 1793, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 11 2 1796 after a voyage of 6months on MARQUIS CORNWALLIS. She was Free by Servitude by 1802 & had a second (2of3) relationship with Joseph (Flood) & produced 6children. She is recorded in 1805/6 with her family. She had a third relationship with Patrick (Caffrey). She is recorded in 1811 muster. She died on 20 8 1814 age36 mother of 7known children & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He was tried for stealing a horse at Dublin city Ireland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 7 8 1793 after a voyage of 6months on BODDINGTONS. He was Free by Servitude by 1802. He is recorded in 1805/6 with his family. He died in 1808 age45 at Parramatta. IRISH CRIME REPORT per Freemans Journal, Saturday, April 20, 1793, p 4: "TRIALS AT THE THOLSEL "Tuesday, April 16 "Ann Gorman, for burglariously breaking the dwelling house of Thomas Ford and taking thereout a pair of breeches and 1l 8s and 2d, his property. Acquitted of the burglary but found guilty of the felony to 4s9d." "All of the above sentenced to be transported." ____________________________________

[Ref C0496] Ann Gorman, Marquis Cornwallis, 3 (natural) children. (This would probably be John, Joseph and Thomas). [Ref 2323] Ann Gorman, Marquis Cornwallis, Tried April 1793, Dublin, 7 years (PRO n4701) #Note 1 Joseph has died in 1808 so is not recorded in 1811. Ann died in 1814 so is not recorded there. # Note 2 Ann Germaine, however, is recorded both in 1811 [Ref 2239] and 1814 [Ref 1613].




Ann had a probably defacto, long term, relationship with Joseph Flood (Convict, Boddingtons, 1793). It would appear that they were together as early as 1796. They had 6 children 5 boys and 1 girl: John 1797, Joseph 1799, Thomas 1802, Edward 1805, James 1807 and Eleanor 1809.

Ann Gorman was transported on the Marquis Cornwallis 1796. She was tried in 1793 at Tholsel Dublin City for 7 years - the crime was Felony-money. Ann was 18 years old. Spouse: (1) 1795 Lived with William Quinn in Ireland. (2) 1797 Lived with Joseph Flood died 1808. (3) Lived with Patrick Caffrey. Ann died in Sydney 1814.
