Rebecca GRACE was convicted at Kingston, Ireland on 17 Oct 1850 for stealing a purse. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the ship 'Blackfriar' arriving 29 May 1851. Single; aged 20yrs; dressmaker; Protestant; can read & write; 4'11". Native place - Kings Co. Ireland. Mother: Isabella - also convicted Assigned to services. Permission to marry granted. Married Thomas Fennessy 18 July 1854, Church of St. George, Hobart. Thomas was transported on the 'Lord Auckland'. Ticket of Leave 10 Jan 1854 Conditional Pardon 3 Apr 1855
