Married fellow ex convict Charles Hartam in New Norfolk, Tasmania on 06/02/1838. Together they owned first the Criterion Hotel, Liverpool Street, Hobart later they were also licences of The Ship Hotel, Elizabeth Street, Hobart. The latter establishment was considered the one of the largest public houses in the state.
