Richard Jefferies, in Bexley, and stealing therein several table-cloths, &c. also detained, charged with breaking open the dwelling-house with breaking open the dwelling-house of Mary Basset, in Plaistow, and stealing therein a leg of pork, &c. her property.—DEATH. Kentish Weekly Post, 4 Aug 1801.

Charlotte Green appeared together with Richard Smith @Jones charged with breaking and entering the house of Rev Jeffries at Bexley. Although it states Smith was convicted & Green was acquitted, she was nonetheless transported on the Glatton with a number of other prisoners convicted at the same court on the same day. The acquittal might have been incorrectly recorded, or she was convicted of another offence.
